Alpaca wool is one of the warmest and softest in the world. Although it is fine and light, it is three times stronger and seven times warmer than sheep’s wool. It makes a high quality product, light and soft which is a pleasure to work with and to knit in the wide variety of colors we offer.
Alpaca fiber does not contain lanolin, a component found in sheep's wool which can cause skin irritation and allergies. Therefore, it is an excellent alternative for people who are allergic to lanolin.
